SJR won 3-2. Great games/series. Very intense drops.

This was an exciting series that went the distance for 5 matches. In fact, this was a 6 match series over 2 different days, with Drop 4 going to time on a fairly uneventful defensive stand-off on River City in Assault mode. Neither team was willing to give up their position and so drop 4 of the series was replayed on Conquest at 775 tons. Drop 1 was a fast and furious 575 ton brawl on a very aggressive push from SJR into CTR's territory on Canyon Network, catching Lucy Lui off guard with hits to his back and taking him out early in the match. The match was a close one until CTR pulled ahead toward the end with 3 mechs to 1 on the mop up. Drop 2 started off with an initial stand-off, followed by a push by SJR through the water on Forest Colony, while the lights made a move into the arch area. The main sniper team intercepted the lights, while the trio of CTR's ER LL mechs held back the water push with the help of strikes just long enough to get the snipers to return their attention to the SJR snipers. On Drop 3, SJR was able to catch the CTR team before getting set-up to receive a push through the centre of Terra Therma, separating a lone HGN-733C from the main team who fell to a lance of Jenners. The disarray of the CTR team lead to a tough beating, delivered in classic SJR style! The re-match of Drop 4 was an exciting battle of snipers on Forest Colony in Conquest mode, in which the CTR team came out ahead, but had erroneously been too aggressive with their light team, thus allowing the SJR lights freedom to cap bases and win on collected resources. Had CTR held back the lights, this match could have ended differently. Drop 5, the tie-breaker, was played on Crimson Strait at 675 tons. An early pair of air strikes on a CTR Spider scout, gave SJR a 1-0 lead, thus forcing CTR to make a difficult and undesirable push over the D4-D5 saddle to the usual upper platform defense. SJR's lights were able to move in on the CTR base and cap it out for the series win. SJR moves on to play SwK for the first round of the finals, while CTR needs to face Blazing Aces to gain another chance at advancement to the finals. Screenshots for your amusement are posted below.
